COMMENTS
Michael & Rebecca were ready and waiting for their guests arrival at the agreed time of 5.30pm. Dinner music was playing in the background, candles lit and heat set at the prefect temperature.
Our well dressed guests; Jeff and Elie, Eamonn and Candace all arrived together at approximately 6.15pm...fashionably late as they say!
Everything was ready to go none the less. Michael & Rebecca both chatted with their good looking guests in the garden while the pumpkin soup (prepared earlier that evening by Michael )was cooking.
As the dinner party guests moved into the dinning room, Rebecca explained the evenings light entertainment;
Each person had a light orange place card with their name written in silver on the front. Inside was a 'one liner' saying that each person had to work into conversation without it being noticed. If it was suspected that one of your fellow dinner party guests had uttered the words from their place card there was a silver bell to ring and get them disqualified. Professional net worker Eamon Kinsella was the winner of this game cleverly introducing conversation to naturally insert his 'one liner'. He was brilliant and worked his line like a professional.

Main course was prepared and served by Michael, then enjoyed by all but Jeff who did not think that Michael was living up to his abilities or pushing the envelope because the Sicilian Brasciole Meatloaf had been served on previous occasions.
Dessert was prepared and served by Rebecca in individually carved and decorated ice bowls. It was a hit and even photographed by Jeff and Eamon.
As the 'Dinner War's' part of the evening drew to a close the guests were presented with a gift bag of traditional British treats. As Michael and Rebecca withdrew to the kitchen for a quick tidy up the score sheets were given out, completed anonymously and sealed in an envelope.
Much fun was had by all; it was agreed that we would all go out for dinner the week after the last 'Dinner Party War's' event to go over the comments and scores. The winning couple would have their dinner that night paid for and be presented with the 'Dinner War's Among Friends ' trophy for 2010.
This event will be repeated annually.
